How to Migrate from Stocky

Assisty offers a built-in migration tool that pulls your data directly from Stocky — no CSV exports, no manual re-entry.

Migration Flow

What gets migrated:

  • All your suppliers — names, contact details, addresses
  • All your purchase orders — every status (draft, confirmed, partial, received, archived)
  • Tax types — your custom tax configurations
  • Line items — automatically matched to your Shopify products

How it works:

  1. Install Assisty from the Shopify App Store
  2. Go to the Migration Tool in Assisty settings
  3. Enter your Stocky API key — Assisty connects and shows a summary of your data
  4. Preview & resolve conflicts — review suppliers, choose how to handle duplicates
  5. Import — watch the progress bar as your data comes over
  6. Done — your suppliers, POs, and tax types are now in Assisty

The entire process takes about 15 minutes.

Important: Stocky's API is available until August 31, 2026. We recommend migrating early so you have time to get comfortable with Assisty before the shutdown.

How to find your Stocky API key:

  1. Open Stocky in your Shopify admin
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Your API key is listed under API Access
  4. Copy the key and paste it into Assisty's migration wizard

What You Get That Stocky Never Had

Assisty isn't just a Stocky replacement — it's a significant upgrade:

  • AI-Powered Demand Forecasting — Multiple forecasting models (SMA, Computing Model, Smart AI) predict what you'll need before you run out
  • Automated Purchase Orders — Set it and forget it. Assisty generates POs on a schedule with approval workflows
  • 300+ Analytics Reports — Deep insights into sales, inventory, suppliers, and profitability
  • Smart Transfer Suggestions — AI recommends which stock to move between locations and why
  • Advanced Return Workflow — Return items to suppliers with 5 reason types and optional Shopify inventory sync
  • Supplier Performance Tracking — Monitor on-time delivery rates and order accuracy per supplier
  • Hierarchical Replenishment Settings — Set rules at Global, Supplier, Product, or Variant level
  • 29+ Configurable PO Columns — Customize your view with MasterData, Custom, and Metafield columns
  • Two Landed Cost Methods — Ratio method (Stocky-compatible) plus proportional allocation for more accurate costing

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will I lose any data when switching from Stocky?

A: No. Assisty's migration tool imports your suppliers, purchase orders, tax types, and line items. Your Shopify product and inventory data stays untouched.

Q: Do I need to export CSVs from Stocky?

A: No. Assisty connects directly to Stocky's API, so there's no need to export or upload files. Just enter your API key and the tool handles the rest.

Q: How does Assisty match my products?

A: We use Shopify's inventory_item_id for precise matching — more reliable than SKU matching since many Stocky products don't have SKUs.

Q: What happens to my open/draft POs?

A: All PO statuses are migrated — draft, confirmed, partially received, received, and archived. They'll appear in Assisty with the same status.

Q: Can I try Assisty before committing?

A: Yes. Assisty offers a free trial so you can migrate your data and explore the app before choosing a plan.

Q: What if I need help migrating?

A: Our support team is here to help. Reach out via the in-app chat and we'll walk you through the process.

Q: Will Assisty work with my barcode scanner?

A: Yes. Assisty supports barcode scanning for receiving and stock counts — USB scanners, Bluetooth scanners, and camera-based scanning.

Q: I use Stocky's barcode label printing. Does Assisty have that?

A: Yes. Assisty supports barcode label printing directly from PO receives — compatible with Dymo, Zebra, and browser-based printing.

Ready to Switch?

  1. Install Assisty from the Shopify App Store
  2. Open the Migration Tool and connect your Stocky account
