Sales trend overtime
The Sales Trend Analysis report in Assisty provides valuable insights into your daily sales performance. By analyzing sales trends over time, you can make data-driven decisions to optimize your business operations, identify growth opportunities, and monitor the success of your sales strategies.
Step 1: Accessing the Report
Log in to your Assisty account.
Navigate to the Report Library section.
Look for the "Sales Performance" category or use the search function to find the Sales Trend Analysis report.
Click on the report to open it.
Step 2: Exploring the Report Interface
Once the report is opened, you will see a table displaying the daily sales overview.
Each row represents a specific day, and the columns show various metrics such as orders count, units sold, net units sold, gross sales, discount amount, return amount, total sales, profit margin %, average order value (AOV), customers count, and an "Action" column.
Step 3: Applying Filters
To narrow down the data displayed in the report, you can apply filters based on your specific criteria.
Date Range Filter: Specify a specific date range to focus on sales within that period.
Step 4: Interpreting the Metrics
Orders Count: Total number of orders recorded for each day.
Units Sold: Total quantity of units sold for each day.
Net Units Sold: Units sold after accounting for returns.
Gross Sales: Total revenue generated from the sales for each day.
Discount Amount: Total amount of discounts applied to the sales for each day.
Return Amount: Total value of returns associated with the sales for each day.
Total Sales: Net revenue generated from the sales for each day.
Profit Margin %: Profitability of the sales for each day, expressed as a percentage.
Average Order Value (AOV): Average value of orders placed for each day.
Customers Count: Total number of unique customers who made purchases for each day.
Step 5: Exploring Drilldown Functionality
In the "Action" column, you will find a "Drilldown" link for each day's data.
Clicking on the "Drilldown" link opens a popup that allows you to break down the data by other dimensions.
The popup will show additional dimensions or categories that you can select to further analyze the data.
For example, you can break down the data by product, product collection, sales channel, or any other relevant dimension available.
Utilize the Sales Trend Analysis report to gain insights into your daily sales performance. Analyze the metrics, apply filters to focus on specific aspects, and leverage the drilldown functionality to explore the data further by breaking it down by different dimensions.
