Customizing a Dashboard

In Assisty, you have the flexibility to customize your dashboards to suit your specific reporting needs. Customizing a dashboard allows you to tailor its appearance, layout, and functionality according to your preferences. Let's explore how you can customize a dashboard in Assisty:


Step 1: Setting a Default Time Range and Filters

  1. Set a default time range for all the cards on your dashboard.
  • Locate the time range setting option on the top right corner of the dashboard.
  • Choose a predefined time range or specify a custom date range that aligns with your reporting needs.
  • The default time range will be applied to all cards on the dashboard when it is viewed.
  1. Add filters to the entire dashboard to further refine the data displayed.
  • Click on the "Add Filter" button or icon on the dashboard interface.
  • Select the filter criteria, such as a specific metric, dimension, or condition.
  • Apply the filter to the dashboard to narrow down the data according to your specified criteria.


Step 2: Rearranging and Resizing Cards

  1. Rearrange the cards on your dashboard to create a logical and visually appealing layout.
  • Drag and drop cards to reposition them and establish their desired order.
  1. Resize cards to adjust their dimensions and optimize the use of space on the dashboard.
  • Click and drag the edges or corners of a card to resize it according to your preference.


Step 3: Managing Cards

  1. Remove a card from the dashboard if it is no longer needed.

Hover over a card and click on the "..." menu that appears.

Select the "Remove" or "Delete" option to remove the card.

  1. Clone a card from another dashboard and save it to the current dashboard.

Hover over a card and click on the "..." menu that appears.

Select the "Clone" or "Duplicate" option to create a copy of the card.

  1. Customize the design of a card to display different visualizations or metrics.

Select the "Design" option to access the card design settings.


Step 4: Printing the Dashboard

  1. Print your customized dashboard for offline viewing or sharing with others.
  • Locate the print button located on the top right corner of the dashboard.
  • Click on the print button to open the print dialog.
  • Adjust the print settings, such as paper size, orientation, and margins, as needed.
  • Click on the "Print" button to print the dashboard using your connected printer.


Step 5: Saving and Sharing the Customized Dashboard

  1. Once you've customized your dashboard to your satisfaction, save your changes.
  • Click on the save button located on the top right corner of the dashboard.
  • Give your customized dashboard a meaningful name that accurately represents its purpose.
  1. Share your dashboard with other team members or stakeholders by providing them with access to view or edit the dashboard.
