Changing Visualization Types

Explore the various visualization options available (metrics, line chart, bar chart, doughnut chart, pie chart) and learn how to switch between them to present your data in different formats.

The visualization of your report plays a crucial role in understanding and analyzing the data. In our report page, you have the flexibility to change the visualization type from a metrics summary (default) to various chart types, such as line charts, bar charts, pie charts, and doughnut charts. This article will guide you through the process of changing the visualization type in your report.

Accessing the Visualization Menu
Locate the chart icon at the top right of the report. It is typically represented by a graph or chart icon.
Click on the chart icon to open the visualization menu.

Switching to Different Visualization Types

In the visualization menu, you will see a list of available visualization options.
By default, the metrics summary (big number) view is displayed. To switch to a different visualization type, click on the desired chart option, such as line chart, bar chart, pie chart, or doughnut chart.
The report will automatically update, displaying the data in the selected visualization type.

Viewing Metrics and Comparison Data
In the chart part of the report, you can view the metrics summary, which includes key metrics related to your data analysis.
Additionally, the chart part also displays the comparison data for the selected comparison period. This allows you to compare the current data with the data from the specified period, providing valuable insights into trends and changes over time.

Turning Off the Chart
If you prefer to focus solely on the detailed data table and hide the chart part, you have the option to turn off the chart display.
To do this, click on the Visualization menu and select the "Hide Chart" or similar option.
The chart part will be hidden, and the report will expand to show the detailed data table.
The app will remember your preference, and when you view other reports, the chart will remain hidden until you choose to show it again.

Showing the Chart
If you want to display the chart again after turning it off, simply access the visualization menu by clicking on the chart icon at the top right of the report.
In the visualization menu, you will see the available chart options, such as line chart, bar chart, pie chart, and doughnut chart.
Click on the desired chart type that you want to see. The app will automatically turn on the chart and display the data summary in the selected chart type.
You can now visualize the data alongside the detailed data table, gaining valuable insights from the visual representation.

Conclusion

Changing the visualization type in your report allows you to explore and analyze the data from different perspectives. In our report page, you can easily switch between the metrics summary view and various chart types, including line charts, bar charts, pie charts, and doughnut charts. You can also view the comparison data for deeper insights. Furthermore, if you prefer to focus solely on the detailed data, you have the option to turn off the chart display, and the app will remember your preference for future reports. By leveraging these features, you can effectively interpret and present your data in a meaningful way.
